Three Valleys chief meets TSA

Three Valleys Housing chief executive Paul Eastwood is to appear before the Tenant Services Authority today to discuss allegations and complaints which led the regulator to request a governance review.

Last month the TSA told the 5,800-home association, based in Derbyshire, to commission an independent review of its governance to look into alleged high turnover of senior staff and board members at the organisation (Inside Housing, 27 November).

The regulator was expected to press Mr Eastwood to discuss the findings of the review. At the time of going to press the TSA did not yet have the results of the investigation.

Mr Eastwood confirmed he was due to meet with the TSA on Friday but as part of ‘regular arrangements’.

Clare Miller, TSA executive director for governance and viability, said: ‘We have had a number of complaints and one of those has been from a union.’

Several TVH staff, who are union representatives, were suspended but have now been reinstated. Inside Housing understands Unison will seperately launch victimisation claims next year. TVH will have 21 days to respond and a tribunal will set a hearing date.

  • The meeting between Paul Eastood and the TSA was most certainly NOT 'part of regular arrangements'. This response by Mr Eastwood is typical of the manner in which he sets aside othwer peoples points of view. He knew well that the meeting was called as a direct result of complaints laid against him by TVH tenants & Union officials. It would be good to have the results of that meeting published, as well as the much delayed Governance review.
