Housing officer TV show to return

A fly-on-the-wall television documentary following housing officers in the north west is to return to the screen next year.

Neighbourhood Watched attracted more than 2.3 million viewers per episode when it was broadcast last August on BBC One. Production company Raw Television will begin filming for the second series next month.

The series will again follow front-line staff from landlords New Charter Housing Association, Housing Pendle, and a third landlord who has yet to confirm. It will also address some of the topical issues facing social landlords and their tenants.

Lucy Willis, executive producer for Raw Television, said: ‘The last series of Neighbourhood Watched offered a compelling and entertaining window on modern-day social housing.

‘We found such a wealth of material that we’re delighted to be making a second series and this time round we’ll be including some new, thought-provoking areas.’
