Marathon runners raise £3k for Hact
Inside Housing’s marathon runners have raised more than £3,000 for the Housing Action Charity. Caroline Thorpe, assistant editor for features and Leonie Brown, former assistant editor for production, completed the 26.2 miles in 4.08 hours and 4.24 hours respectively.
The pair ran with a number of figures from the housing sector, who all raised money for Hact. Other runners included Bruce Moore, group chief executive of Hanover Housing Association, Tim Fallon, chief executive of Livability Housing, Carr-Gomm boss Gary Lashko, Tim Doyle, chief executive of City West Housing Trust, Homes for Haringey chief Paul Bridge, and BPHA’s Justin Daly and Andrew Hardy. To date they have raised £22,182 between them.
Ms Thorpe said: ‘If you had asked me at mile 19, I’d have told you marathons were evil and anyone running one was insane. But now I remember an incredible experience. Thank you so much to Hact for the chance to take part.’
