Bailed-out ALMO appoints new head
Waltham Forest’s arm’s-length management organisation has appointed Madeleine Forster as its new chief executive.
Ms Forster replaces Hassett Auguste at the ALMO following poor performance at the company. She joins Ascham from Circle Anglia, where she was a group regional operations director.
Paul Lowenberg, chair of Ascham Homes, said: ‘Madeleine was an exceptional candidate; we are really pleased to have her as our new chief executive.’
Ms Forster said: ‘I have been impressed by the energy and commitment of all the team that I have met so far.
‘Together we will work with residents, and the council to provide great homes in thriving neighbourhoods which we can all be proud of.’
The ALMO, which manages more than 12,000 homes on behalf of Waltham Forest Borough Council, received a £2.6 million bail out from its parent council in January to cover repairs and fund a financial recovery plan.
