Landlord appoints new head after bullying claims
A Lincolnshire housing association whose chief executive left amid allegations of bullying has appointed a replacement.
North Lincolnshire Homes, which owns more than 10,000 homes, has announced that Andy Orrey will take over as its new chief executive. He replaces Jane Duncan, who left in March after she was suspended from the organisation.
Mr Orrey has worked as finance director and deputy chief executive at the Scunthorpe-based landlord since October 2007. He took over as acting chief executive in June 2009, following Ms Duncan’s suspension.
Mark Harland, vice chair of the board, said: ‘Andy has already played a big part in the development of the company and we believe that he has the right qualities to now take North Lincolnshire Homes forward as a major housing provider, community partner and local employer.
‘Andy’s strength is in his integrity and his sincere commitment to delivering the best possible services for customers.’
Mr Orrey said NLH was a ‘brilliant company with a very strong team of people behind it, from all the staff and board members to the many tenants and leaseholders who work closely with us to develop and deliver improved services’.
He added: ‘I believe that North Lincolnshire Homes has an exciting and challenging future ahead as we further develop our role as a strategic partner within the region.’
