The proposals that our council of trustees will put to the annual general meeting on 22 June will simplify and streamline our offer with two grades, one for fully qualified members (CIH chartered member) and one for everyone else (CIH member). It will, therefore, be easier for employers to identify those members with qualifications.

Our council of trustees is also proposing major changes to our governance structure but I want to be clear that members of the proposed new governing board will be recruited first and foremost from within the CIH membership and only if a particular skill set was missing would we look to recruit a maximum of two non-CIH members, both of whom would be expected to join the CIH.
