CIH launches journal for Republic of Ireland
The Irish housing minister has launched a new journal for housing professionals in the Republic of Ireland.
Jan O’Sullivan, minister with responsibility for housing and planning, and Robin Lawler, president of the Chartered Institute of Housing, launched Housing Ireland as part of the CIH’s plans to support housing professionals in the south of the country.
The first edition of the quarterly publication was unveiled at the National Library of Ireland today.
Ms O’Sullivan said: ‘If ever there was a need for open debate, clear communication and the dissemination of ideas in the housing forum, then this is an opportune moment for such a launch.
‘We are moving to a new and rapidly evolving housing environment in this country. This requires vision, imagination and bold actions.’
Robin Lawler, president of the CIH, said: ‘We want to ensure that CIH provides tailored products and services to housing professionals in Ireland and that we can support everyone working in housing to be brilliant. Now more than ever we need housing professionals to be at the top of their game.’
The work of CIH in Ireland will roll out gradually over the coming months, and new developments will be based on consultation and engagement with the sector.
