Landlord names builders for 1,100 home deal
Home Group has named the 10 house builders that will provide more than 1,100 homes over the next four years.
The contractors named on the £100 million framework agreement include Drew Smith Group, Galliford Try, Keepmoat, Rydon Construction and Willmott Dixon Housing. The other companies on the framework are EG Carter & Co, ISG Jackson, Lakehouse Contracts, Mulalley & Company and T & A Kernoghan.
The 55,000-home landlord said it received expressions of interest from more than 90 contractors to become part of the lucrative agreement.
The framework will cover Home’s southern region, which includes London, the midlands, the east, south east and south west of England.
Ian Tallentire, Home Group’s director of development, said that the selected companies ‘will be able to help us deliver much needed social housing in the south of the UK’.
He added: ‘Each of the companies impressed us with their submissions and we are looking forward to working with them.’
The appointed contractors will be able to bid for new-build construction work on a development pipeline of more than 1,100 homes in the region, as well as for general needs refurbishment work and supported housing projects.
