Some will love it, some will curse it. The countdown has now begun to answer the question that has been eating away at housing officers and board chairs alike: will England win the World Cup?
In the finest spirit of investigative journalism, we are pleased to carry a report this week from two housing officers from Isos Housing Group who last month ventured to Johannesburg, the venue for today’s opening match, as part of an exchange programme with the Johannesburg Housing Company.
As you will see, they witnessed how even the most intractable situations can be resolved to create thriving communities (although only housing people in employment might be a step too far for UK landlords). However, pointers to the England team’s forthcoming performance looked less promising after our correspondents appeared to be out-gunned in a kick about with some of JHC’s younger residents.
