Comrade, you can report any comment you consider unsuitable or offensive by clicking on the 'Report this discussion/comment' link and giving a reason.

Anonymity encourages greater participation. There are some who wish to express a challenging view and wish the view itself, and not them, to be the subject of attention. On the legal sections, it may offer them protection.

And who knows, maybe someone influential wants to add a comment without going on the record.

"Therefore, why should IH allow Anonymous posters? What have they to fear from identifying themselves"

Care you provide us with your real name then "Karl Marx"? Get over yourself.

You call yourself Karl Marx and have a go at anonymous posters...

You should change your name to Groucho because you are a comedian...

It would so tickle my funny bone if, in response to Nonny No.2, the response was that, rather than an avatar, Karl Marx is the posters real name.

'Sour Grapes' is easier to spell. 'Karl Marx'....seriously, if you invested as much time trying to repair the relationship with your neighbours,(or whoever it is that you have to pressing desire to complain to your housing officer about) as you do in griping bitterly on these forums then you we be a happier person!

Someone once observed to me that 80% of the stuff in our lives we can't control, other people, bills, world affairs....our neighbours, but 20% we can control. If we focus on the 20% we can influence rather than what we can't, we can achive far more. My advice to you would be to direct your energies to something more positive!

There may be some posters who may need to cloak their identity as they work in the housing profession and I have no problem with that.

However, I do get teed off when there are so many 'nonnies' - I don't oblect to pen names as then I can 'see' who I am reading rather than a 'nonny' -- if you get my meaning (getting myself confused now!).

I am a real person and am who I say I am but then, I'm just a simple tenant and not a housing professional.

You may jest Jack but in the production of a court order the host can release data that is just as categorical in identifying who you are, unless you use a multi-router or public portal of course.

I know by the amount of pain that I suffer that I am not a figment of my own imagination nor yours for that matter because you wouldn't see a social tenant suffer (unlike some othe rposters to IH).

I often wonder who has such a weird imagination as to be a figment of everyone elses -- or is that collective imagination -- and is that taking collectivism far too far?

And whilst my imagination is working -- is it my imagination or have the 'kill the first born', pay the lowest possible wages' and the 'cheapest is best' brigades all disappeared and been replaced by the 'people shouldn't have kids' and 'I know best' brigades?

Not seen the pig around here so it must be enjoying life elsewhere in the north.

Sometimes I laugh so much that tears run down my leg or pmsl as they say on facebook.

The real delight of these pages is the honesty and reality that is Rick - a solid beacon of truth surrounded by the political sea, and the wavering attacks from the blue pirates maraudering for their impotent queen.

It is an honour to be passing comment with such sincere a poster.

Respect to the man from Cheshire.

"Rick - how can you be sure you are real...?" Why am I not surprised to see such a question from the man with the identity crisis - Chris or whoever the F451 he is!

I feel pain.

Therefore I am.

Therefore I am real.

Simples (as they say on TV).

I hope you experience more happiness and ideally no pain. I hope if you do, it is real.

Is it coincidence that the number of 'one hit' posters has reduced if not ceased - perhaps the groupies are too busy fighting seats!

Could comment boxes be made any larger, so that eye-scan reviewing is simpler (essential for rushed numbskulls who can't spell) or failing that a preview option prior to posting to assist sending in those posts with glaring errors, or even missing parts?
