    I myself am registered with various Residential Services from different London Universities and I just hope that the same thing is not happening in all the Universities with us landlords being none the wiser. After all we are not privy to what is being said many miles away by the Residential Services team to prospective students.

    If your lodger had indeed believed the Residential Services team of Queen Mary University when they described you as a "troublesome landlord" then he would have taken their advice and chosen another flat and this unpleasant and disgraceful incident would never have come to light and we would be none the wiser!

    Our HA keeps bringing in new panels where members have to have formal interviews by staff - volunteers are volunteers and now they are going thru job interview process! Is this right I ask? BOARD PAY I started out on Tenant Neighbourhood Panel which would nominate a tenant to go on the Board when Tenant position was vacant and B.M's were not paid. I then joined other panels e.g. Design, Maintenance, Consultative. A new Panel took over Consultative and was named STARA (Sentinel Tenant and Residents Ass) From that tenants would be nominated to the board by their peers ...

    Look's like that i need to read that article cause i am really interested on how can they build a stronger communities ,In Helsinki where i am working at  http://www.tapaturva.fi/  i never been seen some landlords build an community and it is impressive if they successfully do it.

    I agree it is really an crazy idea  and i feel interested too about it cause there is something in this idea that i can't fully understand.

    In the out-turn, it does appear that the financial sector and private landlords did rather well - which of course means MPs did rather well too!
