Comment on: Tenants 'not confident' about direct payments
COUNCIL TAX IS NOT BEING PAID TO THE TENANT SO WHY NOT THE RENT
Comment on: Recovering tenant debt
Thanks for this information, I have a tenant who has DRO and in £500 rent arrears and still lives in the property. We had a agreement signed with the tenant to pay £30 per month, till he went to C.A.B and added to the debts to be written off.If they had left the property, we would have wrote it off as bad debt but as they still living in the property we would expect the arrears to be paid. I agree with the comment above "other tenants would have little incentive to pay off arrears as they would be immune from eviction". I will proceed to retrieve the arrears.
Comment on: Lodger rules to ease impact of bedroom tax
Can the lodger claim H/Benefit or has the lodger got to be employed?
Comment on: Direct payment could double rent arrears
If families who have been on benefit for a long time with no fault of their own and their children need shoes or school uniforms, they don't want to show their kids up don't have any money left out of their benefit where do you think the money will come, THEIR RENT MONEY.
RENT ARREARS will rocketed, more evictions, more homeless, more burden on LA.
