Good call, Melvin. There is no evidence for such a statement, and, from my experience, I doubt it's true.
As far as I'm aware, LAs will always use the most efficient materials bearing in mind the 'whole life cost'. -

Agree with Rosa Hooses, what has Trident got to do with housing benefits? They're really not comparable.

Comment on: Mears announces profit jump
People moan about ROK being rubbish and wasting our tax dollars, and then moan that Mears are too bloody good and their fat cats are hoarding our tax dollars
It seems the only solution is either:
a) Private sector companies hit their exact break-even point every year.
b) We bring everything back under state ownership.
Option a) doesn't seem very likely, and option b) (as Only One points out) doesn't have a great track record.
Perhaps the solution is to stop complaining about success. -

It's difficult for me to express my views on this without sounding like a Daily Mail reader...
Let's just say I agree with PSRs comment of, "There is a significant question over the lack of minority protection offered to Christians in the UK."
We are so keen to bend over backwards to accomodate everyone, yet discriminate against what is the majority religion of this country.
Having said that, the guy shouldn't be banging on about Jebus to people that don't want to hear it.
