Delivering Affordable Rent

Mayfair Conference Centre, London

24 February 2012

Government funding for social housing is now primarily targeted at a new social housing product: Affordable Rent (AR), allowing landlords to charge up to 80% of market rent and offer the new model on flexible tenancies. Capita’s National Delivering Affordable Rent Conference comes at a crucial time to help you understand the major impact of this new regime on your finances, ways to obtain resources for future developments as well as pioneering practice from chief executives and housing sector leaders. With all AR housing providers contracts due to be signed by January 2012, attention is turning to how Housing Associations, Local Authorities and House Builders are going to work in partnership to deliver the Government’s target of up the 150,000 new affordable properties. Against a backdrop of welfare reform and financial inclusion considerations for tenants, the AR model represents major challenges to all stakeholders regardless of locality, size or income level.
