Seddon wins £60m affordable housing contract
England’s largest housing association has awarded a £60 million contract to Seddon Construction to build 700 new affordable homes.
The new homes will be built in the midlands, Yorkshire and Humberside and will form part of Sanctuary’s £500 million, 3,600-home investment programme.
Jonathan Seddon, managing director of Seddon Construction, said: ‘We are delighted to be working with Sanctuary to deliver much-needed new affordable homes and create job and training opportunities in local communities.’
Seddon says it will recruit around 40 apprentices to deliver the work.
Peter Martin, group director for development at Sanctuary, said: ‘Creating employment opportunities is a key priority for Sanctuary.’
