I like being an irritant,

However, it is darned frustrating not only with this darned duplication but also sometimes the IT won't allow what I've written to make it's way onto threads ( words to the effect of "Can't find page " "invalid html" or whatever ) especially after I've spell and typo checked it.

I don't think the pop up box has anything to do with the duplicated posts. I think that happens when we moderate them (we do sometimes) and the system freezes so the moderater then clicks twice. Having said that, I agree the pop up box is irritating - although it has nothing to do with advertising - and will try to get it set to only appear if you click on the 'share' link rather than hovering over it.

On the invaild html point, I have raised this with our developers and we are continuing to try to find a solution, although this seems to be more difficult that you might have thought.

When I asked: 'perhaps the little irritant can be done away with' I did not mean give him his own column on IH!

Thanks for looking into the box Tom.

I am impressed with that PSR except I am not sure "little" is the correct word.

I am not so sure that the 'opposition' (another oxymoron) would be doing much different than the current odious lot in power.

Is it coincidence that the number of 'one hit' posters has reduced if not ceased - perhaps the groupies are too busy fighting seats!

Could comment boxes be made any larger, so that eye-scan reviewing is simpler (essential for rushed numbskulls who can't spell) or failing that a preview option prior to posting to assist sending in those posts with glaring errors, or even missing parts?
