Housing Heroes		Sustainable Housing		UKHA
The housing sector is characterised by the commitment, passion and flair of the people who work in it. They are dedicated, innovative and creative individuals and teams. This awards scheme aims to ensure those 'unsung heroes' of the housing world are recognised and rewarded for their contribution in making housing such a vibrant and caring sector.		Sustainability is one of the most pressing issues affecting the social housing sector. Launched in 2008 the Sustainable Housing Awards celebrates the projects and organisations at the vanguard of housing sustainability best practice.		The UK Housing Awards were established in 1997. The awards recognise excellence across ten categories and also present prizes for the most outstanding achievement in housing in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England and for the UK as a whole.
