New housing consultancy
Santander’s former head of housing has launched a new consultancy, offering finance, treasury and funding advice to housing associations.
Paul Stevens, who led the housing team at one of the sector’s major lenders from 2004 until last month, has become a founding partner at Centrus Advisors. He has founded the company alongside Phil Jenkins, a former advisor to housing associations at Royal Bank of Canada.
Centrus will work with clients offering advice on bank funding, capital markets and corporate financing.
‘We’ll work across a broad range,’ said Mr Stevens. ‘Primarily my focus will be on the bank side, and dealing with the £60 billion of historic debt that registered providers want to protect as best they can. Phil has more debt capital markets expertise and has a strong reputation for that.’
