Gateway directors commission strategy
A housing strategy for the London area of the Thames Gateway is to be produced within the next four months, the Thames Gateway Housing Directors group has revealed.
The recently-formed group, which includes all council housing directors that work within the growth area, met junior housing minister Tony McNulty this week to discuss proposals for the Gateway outlined in the Communities Plan.
Aman Dalvi, chief executive of inward investment agency Gateway to London and chair of the directors' group, said a comprehensive housing strategy was essential to manage the volume of homes planned for the area.
The strategy would also look at regional allocations and nominations and choice-based lettings, he said.
