IH website over Christmas

Inside Housing is taking a break over Christmas and New Year, so this website will be updated and monitored less frequently that usual. Comments on articles will only be moderated and put live once each working day, and no news bulletins will be sent until 4 January.

The Ask the Experts forum will also be checked less frequently that usual, although we will make sure we get an expert response to any question posted (within reason) as quickly as possible once the IH team returns to work.

Happy Christmas and New Year from all of us here at Inside Housing.

A well deserved break in prospect - I will not be posting over the Christmas period (stop cheering) but will instead be looking to use the time firstly for family but secondly for the community as it is harder than any other time of year for so many people.

Early, but have a sincere Christmas and hoping that the meaning is not lost but influences decisions and actions through the coming year.

    It's certainly having the desired effect on my use of the site. Normally i take a quick look when i've got a few mins to spare but now I'm not bothering.

    Could comment boxes be made any larger, so that eye-scan reviewing is simpler (essential for rushed numbskulls who can't spell) or failing that a preview option prior to posting to assist sending in those posts with glaring errors, or even missing parts?
