I work in allocations and I get various queries from non-BME applicants who cry the race card which varies from mild frustration to outright racism. All of the rants and allegations are unfounded. I can't speak for Aston or Canley but I know where I am people like to blame someone else for not getting what they want.

‘This lending does carry some additional risk as the customer only has 5 per cent deposit invested - behaviourally the risk of default is higher.’

perhaps a useful solution would be to have two forums: one for housing staff to discuss matters with their peers in which users would have to have an RSL email account to participate

This could be problematic as some users may want to post but not on behalf of their organisation and if their account is linked to a work email account it could be construed as such.
