Landlord sacks four over credit card misuse
A Merseyside-based housing association has sacked four members of staff, including its director of property services, over allegations that they misused company credit cards.
One Vision Housing, which owns and manages 11,700 homes in Sefton, dismissed the workers following a two-month investigation.
Paul Broadbent, one of eight directors at the organisation, along with property services workers Lee Birkett, Paul Errington and John Matthews, now have 10 days to appeal the decision before the sackings are confirmed.
Police are not yet involved but files from the investigation could still be passed to them after the deadline for appeals has passed.
It is understood that the staff passed credit caps on their company-issued credit cards.
A spokesperson for One Vision said: ‘We can confirm that four members of staff have been dismissed, subject to appeal.
‘We have very robust financial monitoring systems in place and take any breach of our financial regulations very seriously and will always take appropriate action when required.
‘There has been no impact on service provision, performance or customer satisfaction.’
The workers all transferred to the company from repairs and maintenance contractor Connaught following the collapse of that company.
