Mixed Communities - Have Your Say
18/07/2008 2:50 pm
I am a research student in the Cities Programme at the London School of Economics and I am currently conducting research on the attitudes of housing professionals towards the Government’s ‘mixed communities’ policies. I would like to take this opportunity to personally invite users of the Inside Housing forums to take part by completing a short online survey.
The survey, which should take no more than five minutes to complete, can be found at the following internet address:
The survey questions ask you to reflect on your professional opinions of the main aims and objectives of ‘mixed communities’ policies. As far as I am aware, this is the first academic study on the issue of mixed communities to specifically seek the views of those who work in the housing sector. The results will greatly improve our understanding of the role played by housing professionals in the delivery of the government’s housing policy agendas, with implications for policy-making and future research in this area.
Your answers are anonymous and no information will be asked for that could identify you or your employer. To ensure your privacy, the survey pages utilise secure data encryption technology and are hosted by a third-party research organisation.
The Mixed Communities Research Project is funded by an award from the Economic and Social Research Council.
More information on the project can be found on my website: http://personal.lse.ac.uk/kilburn/mcrp
