Comment on: Builder wins first stand-alone repairs deal
They will have looked at the %age of properties that have no repairs reported annually against those tha have more than (say) 5 repairs reported annually. This dat is very useful in making assumptions of what the mean cost per property will be.
You can probably assume sonething like 20% of the stock will only require the gas safety inspection within a financial year. There average repair cost then gets shared amongst the properties that will require more care and attention. -

IT would be interesting to see a comparison between the RTB repossessions and the 'normal' repossessions. I would expect them to be at a higher level, but nonetheless a comparison would be fascinating.

Comment on: £1.8m to tackle 'beds in sheds'
Fair point Chris, but we can't just sit back ignoring the fact that a lot of these people/families are being exploited.
If it increases the waiting list, then so be it, but a lot of the so called landlords in these situations are getting away with tax free murder. -

I'm not that familiar with the area JB. Can you please give some idea of what cost of (say) a 3 bed semi or terraced house would be there?
I suspect that even with a maiximum discount, it would still be considerable sum for your average Jo.

Surely the Police, FSA, HMRC and The Government deal with business corruption, tax avoidance, and exploitation?
Won't they?
