Christmas appeal smashes its £1,000 target to help charities
Inside Housing’s Christmas Appeal has smashed its £1,000 fundraising target.
The drive to raise funds for four housing-related charities received several boosts last week, including a £1,000 donation last week from Ocean Media Group, publisher of Inside Housing.
The gift takes the total raised so far to £1,330, with a week still to go until Christmas. The money will be split between Habitat for Humanity in Northern Ireland, Save the Family in Wales, the Rural Housing Service in Scotland and One25 in England. It will go towards their fantastic work using housing to support vulnerable people.
Trevor Barratt, Ocean Media Group’s chief executive, said: ‘We are very happy to support such fantastic charities and wish all involved a very merry Christmas.’
A spokesperson for social housing contractor United House, which has donated £200, said: ‘Good luck with your Christmas appeal from all at United House. Supporting homeless [people] is something very close to our hearts.’
