Housing associations combine to find £60 million contractor
Housing associations have joined together to find a contractor to undertake £60 million of work across five years.
Affinity Sutton Group issued a tender notice on behalf of Broomleigh Housing Association, Downland Housing Association, William Sutton Housing Association and Aashyana Housing Association.
The group already has a number of contracts in place across London and the South East, but now wants to amalgamate them into one contract for all.
Around 150 expressions of interest are expected from which ‘40 to 50’ are tipped to submit a response.
They will then be whittled down to seven from which the winner will be picked to cover repairs for around 20,000 homes.Although only initially for five years, there is the possibility of three five year extensions, bringing the contract up to 20 years.
