Inside Housing journalist highly commended

Inside Housing’s deputy news editor has been highly commended at an awards ceremony celebrating new journalism talent.

Sophie Barnes, deputy news editor and previously senior reporter at Inside Housing, received the accolade in the ‘New business journalist of the year’ category at the Professional Publishers Association New Talent Awards last night.

Ms Barnes has worked at Inside Housing since December 2015, initially covering local authorities and now writes mainly about regulation, welfare reform, homelessness, the Right to Buy and Scotland.
