Hackett named G15 deputy chair

Paul Hackett has been announced as the new deputy chair of the G15 group of housing associations.

Mr Hackett, chief executive of Amicus Horizon which manages 28,000 homes, will deputise for chair David Montague. The appointment means Mr Hackett is also now expected to take over as chair from the L&Q chief executive when Mr Montague’s term comes to an end in 2017.

Mr Hackett said: “With the mayoral elections in May and the introduction of a raft of government policies which will have a profound effect on housing in the capital, there has never been a more important time for us to develop public policy for the benefit of our residents and those desperate for a home they can afford.”

The G15 represents London’s 15 largest housing associations.
