Summer photo competition launched

Football in the park, ice cream, trips to the seaside. What does summer mean in your community?

Every year the Inside Housing office is flooded with press releases about what the housing world gets up to over the summer months - but there’s never enough room to give it all a mention. So this year we’re trying something different.

Today we launch our ‘Summer in my community’ photo competition. We want you to send in your snaps of what summer means to the community in which you live or work. Yes, we’re talking your local fete or summer outing. But we’re also asking you to get creative and capture the unexpected aspect of summer living wherever you are.

And the prize? A £100 Amazon token for the winning photographer, plus we will print the winning snap and a selection of runner-up shots in Inside Housing and online on 27 August - just in time to put a smile on everyone’s face as we head into the bank holiday weekend.

Entering couldn’t be easier. All you need is access to a digital camera and a computer. Once you’ve selected your pic, simply email it to photocomp@insidehousing.co.uk by 6 August 2010 and we’ll do the rest.

Happy snapping!

The rules

  • Entries should arrive no later than 5pm on 6 August 2010
  • Entries must consist of a single photo
  • Only one entry per person
  • The judges’ decision is final
