Ex-Westminster housing boss takes Camden post
Westminster Council’s former director of housing has moved over to Camden to become its new director of housing and adult social care.
Rosemary Westbrook was director of housing in Westminster for seven years and started her new role at Camden Council on 23 April.
‘I am delighted to be joining Camden at such an exciting time and looking forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead,’ Ms Westbrook said.
‘The council has just agreed a new five year plan setting out its ambitions for Camden, working with the community and partners.’
A key focus in her new role will be around joining up health, social care and housing, Ms Westbrook said.
She said challenges included the changes to the housing revenue account and she wants to continue with the work Camden had done to improve the quality of its homes.
Ms Westbrook’s career in local government started in 1989 and includes roles as director of housing and neighbourhood services at Slough Council and head of housing policy and development at Reading Council.
