Its a shame some comments reflect the writers deep seated loathing of the Tories, capitalism, wealth etc. rather than an attempt to offer any solutions themselves. What CAmeron has done, albeit slightly clumsily, is open a debate. And I think its one we've got to have. I dont actually agree you should have time limited tenancies but maybe more flexibility on rent charged could be the answer. The important thing is we initiate the debate, that there are not no-go areas which immediately stifle and limit the debate. There is no money, supply isnt there are can't get to the level needed to address 1.8m on waiting lists even if it could. What is the solution? Certainly not sticking your head in the sand and trotting out the same old tired class war rhetoric.
