Well Mr Clegg your Government did not help my friend who was 56 and was made redundant twice in a year, the second time after just 3 months in work with no redundancy from either job in which she worked out she was only £400 better off working for 3 months. She then had to survive on the paltry £60 a week job seekers allowance she was expected to live off. Despite having a heart condition she could not get on to the sick culture as it is now tightened up for new claimants and get all the other benefits that the hundreds of thousands of our own indigenous work shy, unemployed and unemployable, druggies, alcoholics, misfits, criminals and bits of kids who have umpteen kids from different fathers in order to get social housing and live off milking benefits for years have survived on for years and no doubt will continue to.
Her rent was £650 a month of which she had to find £50 towards on top of her gas, electric, tv license and travelling expenses to sign on each week or attend job interviews. Not much left for life's little luxuries like food, finally at 56 after a year with no prospects of getting a job or social housing and made to feel like a scrounger by the benefits office and job seekers agency staff who were totally unhelpful , getting nasty letters and having her benefits stopped, re started and stopped again due to their incompetence she was forced to move 150 miles north to live with her parents in their eighties. No help for her as she was born in this country and worked for 30 years and was forced from her home and let down by the very system that you do gooders are only too happy to afford all the help possible to those coming to this country not fleeing from any particular oppression but just economic migrants looking for a better life getting all the assistance and benefits thrown at them provided by UK tax payers to live in the UK for ever and a day.
