I'm delighted for Glasgow. Not knocking the fact that their stock was in a terrible state and that the investment was needed, nor the well known knock on benefits rightly identified.
I suppose the principle point is that they hoover up so much of the money there is little elsewhere.
What perhaps needs to be asked is that is the opportunity cost for all this spend in Glasgow further crisis in Edinburgh ? The answer is clearly, unarguably, yes.
The other querstion is, is it more important to house people without a home in Edinburgh if it means some people in Glasgow wait a couple of years for their new kitchens ? I think yes again.
