A COPY OF A LETTER that I sent to my own MP, who had helped me in the past, with a copy to David Cameron, Eric Pickles, Grant Shapps & Andrew Stunnell.
I've also sent a copy of it to Inside Housing and to date, NOT one of them has bothered to reply!!!
"Hi Angela - hope you are well.
Further to my earlier correspondence with you in September of last year, regarding my submissions to George Osborne on the then housing crisis, which you so very kindly forwarded on to the Chief Secretary of the Treasury, who then very kindly replied to my queries, (which you sent me copies) but sadly, that was as far as he went!
If you read the headline article in this week's Inside Housing, entitled - Treasury asks Housing Sector for help!...click on the link for the full story -
...it appears that the Treassury is once again asking for the housing sector's help..
'Ministers are exploring whether the affordable house building programme can be used to boost the flagging economy, as part of an English housing strategy due to be published by Christmas.
Officials at the Treasury and Number 10 are keen to use the strategy - which is being compiled by civil servants at the Communities and Local Government department at the request of the Liberal Democrats - to help stimulate growth.'
I also wrote to the Prime MInister, David Cameron in March of this year and all I got was a one page reply from one of his staff, Mr S Caine, who intimated that he had sent my information to Secretary of State for Communities and enclosed a copy letter from Sujata Talukdar who promised to look at my 'housing regeneration' scheme suggestions and also said 'that he would keep the information in mind as housing policy is developed.'
Now as you know, I've been in 'grass roots' housing/regeneration for almost 50 years now and won national awards and I do not profess to know it all, but I do know that our country is in a terrible state financially and otherwise and I have developed a system that will quite clearly get the UK Housing Market 'kick started', if only some one in government or otherwise will listen to me and give me the opportunity to explain my ideas in detail, which are all ready to put into place and get our UK housing back where it belongs!
It will not cost megabucks to start my scheme off and will be self financing as it goes along, and will include all the 'local' people in all the run down areas, cities and towns of England, thereby creating a rung on the housing ladder for many people!
So Angela, I am appealing to you to kindly see if you can get me an appointment with someone who will listen to my plea and give me just one final opportunity to sell my 'housing' scheme to anyone in Parliament who will take me seriously, after all I have my country's future at heart and wants to see us get back to the top of the tree in housing.
I do not want any fees paying, just travellig costs and if they are so hard up and cannot afford to pay them, I will pay for my travel costs myself!!!
I have attached my biography for your information and look forward to hearing from you soon!
