Ms Roe has to be looking at some very odd figures if there are only 10 single people classified as vulnerable and only 600 single people in her borough. In my district there will be 900 single 25 - 34 year olds affected by these changes but across the whole city the combined number of single dwellings per annum from all social landlords is only 700, so where are these singles to go? Will the discretionary payments cover them whilst they wait for social housing to come available? I doubt it somehow. Throw in all those who are underoccupying and the numbers looking for a safety net become truly horrific yet the government still refuse to grant a transitional period wholeheartedly supported by Ms Roe and her colleaugues who it seems genuinely live on a different planet to the rest of us.
