My sympathies will be with those whose desperation sucked them into the ‘house ownership dream’ that may turn into the ‘repo nightmare’, and, the tenants of the ‘buy to let’ landlord. Those tenants will be the first to suffer.
While Gavin’s story can be included in the horror category generating a degree of sympathy I can’t see how any pleasure can be derived from the prospect of property investors tenants being potential victims. For me a great deal of pleasure would be derived, if in my lifetime, the greed machine engineered by Thatcher hit the buffers, with the current drivers of Cameron, Shapps. Duncan Smith & Co getting their just desserts.
