Shapps heralds an era where the truth has become a martyr to political point scoring. His smug little school boy factoids are hardly representative of a solution to the housing crisis. And his 'cleverness' is nothing of the kind: he is simply adept at presenting a case - full of holes. This is intensely sad when peoples' wellbeing is at stake. He won't last, but I have no doubt his replacement will be equally good at distortion, misrepresentation and statistical party tricks. He should be challenged to support his statements. He would be unable to do so without resorting to an attack on the previous government.
