Comment on: New housing regulator faces strike threat
I would respond to you Rosa but I don't have the time!
As regards the work ....same hours....but don't expect the same level of quality/quantity of output.
But if there was the prospect of a performance related bonus..... -
Comment on: New housing regulator faces strike threat
"....TSA staff met targets despite a reduction in staff numbers....."
Which I equate to either they put in extra effort or they had previously been overstaffed. Which was it?
PS: I am a civil servant doing the job of three people at the moment for no extra money but hey it could be a lot worse, I could be in Greece! -
Comment on: Building landlords get Edinburgh loan boost
Any chance of expanding on this article to show how the figures stack up. This is how it looks to me at the moment;
£21m to produce 160 homes = £131,250 per home.
Interest @ 4.5% = £113 per week.
Then add management & maintenance costs.
And what about repaying the capital? Is it an interest only loan repayable after 10 years?
Looks like a nice earner for the Council - £735,000 p.a. margin -
Comment on: Landlord agrees 1,000-home PV scheme
Cheaper bills for the tenants and feed-in tariffs for the landlord paid for by the rest of us. Can they come and put them on my house as well?

Comment on: Council rejects 116-home plan over affordable units
The report didn't mention whether the application had a recommendation for refusal or approval from the planning officer. Was there any agreement with officers on the AH proposed? It's a very vague piece of journalism IH.
