TSA appoints new head of regulation
The Tenant Services Authority has appointed a new director of regulation, replacing Richard Moriarty who left in December.
Matthew Bailes will join the social housing regulator on secondment from the Communities and Local Government department, where he is head of affordable housing.
In his job at CLG Mr Bailes worked closely with the TSA, and helped develop its regulatory standards.
The regulator is in the process of being abolished following the government’s review of quangos, and its functions transferred to the Homes and Communities Agency, but its regulatory standards will be preserved.
Claer Lloyd-Jones, chief executive of the TSA, said: ‘I am extremely pleased that we have been able to attract someone of Matthew’s calibre as we progress through this significant stage in our development. He brings a new range of skills and experience and his arrival will help strengthen the TSA as we move towards transition into the HCA.’
