We are small but very effective
It should be noted that the way data is collected and published by the Tenant Services Authority is not only meaningless at a local level for larger providers (Inside Housing, 16 April), it is non-existent for small providers.

Those of us who manage fewer than 1,000 homes don’t even get our data recorded on the TSA’s landlord comparison website - this is despite the fact that most registered providers are small organisations - more than 60 per cent of the National Housing Federation’s members own fewer than 500 properties. It also ignores the fact that a relatively small provider can be a major player in their locality.
At Rockingham Forest we are the top performing registered provider in our area (based on the TSA’s compare your landlord key performance indicators) and we are also the second largest provider in the area. If any of our customers look at the TSA’s website, however, they are advised that information about us is not available. Surely not good for tenant empowerment and something that the TSA could easily correct, without waiting for the findings of a ‘discussion paper’?
