We are aware of this problem and are trying to find a way to make the system more usable without leaving it vulnerable to some of the security issues the html block is designed to address. In the meantime if you paste your comment into a simple text editor - such as notepad on PCs - and then into the forum it should work. It is best to avoid email addresses and hyperlinks as well, although if you paste a URL into the post it should work (although it will not be a link).

I'll just talk to myself about this then...

Could comment boxes be made any larger, so that eye-scan reviewing is simpler (essential for rushed numbskulls who can't spell) or failing that a preview option prior to posting to assist sending in those posts with glaring errors, or even missing parts?

TBH, it doesn't bother me if people use pen names so as not to "expose" themselves, my only problem with some of the threads which havge a lot of comments, is that it's difficult to see who is replying to whom because so many people are sharing this "anonymous" name.

I'm having enough problems with my 'random' comments (and typos) let alone 'random visitors'. pmsl as they say on facebook.

It seems to be showing the most popular/commented/emailed stories ever, rather than from the last week (which is what it is supposed to do). I'll get onto it. Thanks for flagging it up.

I have just gone back to the IH home page and found the story.

I am impressed with that PSR except I am not sure "little" is the correct word.

Melvin - please do not reveal yourself, with or without mask, it may be more than some could cope with!

Try emptying your cache which may be corrupted. If using Internet Explorer then tools/options/general. Go to browsing history. Select delete, then untick all but Temporary Internet Files in the Delete Browsing History box which appears, then press Delete. If you are using Firefox, go to Tools/Clear Recent History then ensure that Cache is ticked, then Clear Now.
