CHIC also provides post contract member and commercial support, maintaining competitive pricing , by working closely with contractors and supply chain partners. Our mission is to work collaboratively, to ensure that residents have safe, decent homes to live in. CHIC has grown from a membership of seven founding members to more than 100 housing associations, local authorities and other members, managing over 800,000 social housing homes and other buildings across the UK.

We understand our members requirements and fully support the procurement process, with dedicated member services and supply chain management support.

We can help you achieve net zero carbon by 2050, our energy efficiency framework supports public sector organisations to deliver decarbonisation works on domestic properties and non-domestic buildings. We are able to help you procure building fabric improvement works (insulation/cladding), energy efficiency measures (PV, battery storage, LED lighting, building controls) and low carbon heating systems. These may be as standalone measures or combined programmes of work.

In November 2020, we launched our new carbon retrofitting service which will help social landlords prepare their housing stock to meet the Government’s zero carbon targets. We have joined forces with energy efficiency specialists, Energy Specifics to provide a fully compliant, zero carbon retrofitting service, which will provide landlords with the tools to deliver a ‘whole house’ retrofit of each property with energy saving improvements.
