John Pankhurst hit the nail on the head regarding misleading data on migrant privileges (Inside Housing, 17 July). Let’s get the correct data on migrant/immigrant housing.
It is my personal opinion that if I were a family living in a two-bed tatty council flat, having been waiting for a number of years for larger accommodation, and a migrant/immigrant family were housed in a three-bed house, either new or old, I would be absolutely furious. What person wouldn’t?
This unfair scenario goes on and will continue to cause further division between those that receive such accommodation to those who’ve waited longest for rehousing until such time those who have waited longest are housed first.
