Kevin Bolt, chief executive of BPHA, said: “Julian will strengthen BPHA’s senior team with his extensive experience gained in a range of roles ranging from financial consultancy through to property services.

“He joins us at an exciting time as we continue to invest the development of our customer service, further new homes in the strategically important Oxford to Cambridge Arc and the next steps in the organisation’s operational efficiency.

“I would like to record our thanks to Francesco Elia for all the work he has done as interim chief financial officer and his contribution to our organisation.”

Mr Elia was appointed in April following the departure of previous incumbent Paul Gray.

Mr Pearce said: “I am delighted to be joining an organisation that has such a strong track record of delivering high-quality affordable housing over many years and look forward to ensuring that BPHA maintains its strong financial position.”
