Housing Heroes Award winners unveiled
The winners of the 2012 Housing Heroes Awards have been announced at a ceremony in London.
The successful teams and individuals were handed their trophies by BBC news presenter Louise Minchin at a lunchtime event at the Park Lane Hilton today (11 May).
The awards are run by Inside Housing and the Chartered Institute of Housing to recognise the unsung ‘heroes’ of the housing sector, who make a positive impact in their workplaces and communities every day of the year.
CIH president Robin Lawler said: ‘These awards are a great showcase of the energy and dedication of tenants, board members and housing professionals, and the winners and all of today’s runners-up deserve our praise and recognition.
‘Their individual achievements are remarkable. Collectively, they show what an outstanding contribution the housing sector makes to communities and lives up and down the country.’
