Housing association and council moves
- Alison Sargent has been appointed chief executive of Adullam Homes Housing Association. She was previously group operations director at Capstone Foster Care.
- Jerome Williams (pictured) started as equality, diversity and inclusion manager at Sovereign on 1 June, joining from BT, where he was diversity lead. He previously also worked as senior diversity manager at Homes England for three years. You can read a comment piece from him about his new role here.
- Tyne Housing has appointed Francis Clarke as director of finance. For the past 12 years he has held senior roles in the finance and commercial teams at Home Group.
- Helen Ward has joined Torus as group organisational development director. She was previously assistant director for organisational development at Birmingham City Council.
- Orwell Housing Association has announced Michelle Harrison as director of people and culture and Rowan Procter as director of care and support services. Ms Procter joins from West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust where she held the role of executive chief nurse and Ms Harrison joins from Essex Wildlife Trust where she was head of people support.
- Platform Housing Group has appointed Gerraint Oakley as its new executive director of growth and development. Mr Oakley has previously held director roles at Curo and Coastal Housing.
- Jane Trethewey has been appointed as assistant director for homes and communities at Shropshire Council. She was previously assistant director for housing development at Birmingham City Council.
Other moves
- Andrew Stirling (pictured) was appointed head of treasury solutions at TradeRisks, a fund management business and financial consultancy for the housing sector. He was previously director of social housing at Lloyds Banking Group.
- Russell Thompson, executive director of assets at Thirteen, has taken up the role of chair of the Direct Works Forum – a specialist industry organisation for in-house repairs and maintenance teams in housing – for the next three years.
- Jonathan Gould joined the team at Ark Housing as a senior consultant, having previously worked at Oxford City Council.
- Law firm Penningtons Manches Cooper has hired four new senior housing lawyers. Gemma Bell, Rose Klemperer, Ellen Damlica and Sharon Thandi all join from Birmingham-based firm Anthony Collins.
- Louise Forrest joined law firm Winckworth Sherwood as partner and head of banking and finance on 1 June, having previously worked as a partner at DLA Piper. The firm also appointed Zofia Kordek as senior associate. Ms Kordek formerly worked at Dentons.
