Housing association moves

Mona Shah is Amplius’ chief financial officer

In December, Amplius announced its new executive leadership team, following its formation from the merger of Grand Union Housing Group and Longhurst Group. Julie Doyle, previously chief executive of Longhurst Group, has been announced as chief executive of Amplius. Aileen Evans, chief executive of Grand Union, has stepped down. From the previous Longhurst senior leadership team, Rob Griffiths is Amplius’ deputy chief executive, Guv Dhaliwal is chief information officer, Lynn Stubbs is executive director of people and performance, and Marcus Keys is executive director of growth, development and assets. From Grand Union, Mona Shah is Amplius’ chief financial officer and Phil Hardy is chief operations officer.

Liam Turner has been appointed chief executive at Salix Homes, following Sue Sutton’s retirement. Mr Turner has been promoted from executive director of assets, growth and development.

First Choice Homes Oldham has appointed Mark Gifford as chief executive. Mr Gifford was chief executive at the National Citizen Service.

Corinna Bishopp will be the new chief executive of Saxon Weald, replacing Steven Dennis. Ms Bishopp was deputy chief executive of RHP and, before this, executive director of finance at RHP.

Yorkshire Housing has recruited Adam Hinchliff as director of homes. Mr Hinchliff was service director, corporate services at WDH. Yorkshire Housing has also promoted Sarah Lee to director of customer channels. Her previous role was head of customer experience delivery.

Aster Group has promoted Gary Bellenger to director of home strategy and sustainability. Previously, Mr Bellenger was the organisation’s property investment director.

Other moves

Ozay Ali has been appointed associate director of affordable housing at Switch Housing

Switch Housing – a provider operated by asset management and consultancy company Switch Management – has hired Ozay Ali as associate director of affordable housing, to lead on the provision of temporary accommodation. Previously, Mr Ali held a number of social housing roles, including chief executive of Croydon Churches Housing Association, and interim or consultancy roles at councils including Ealing, Croydon and Elmbridge.

Jonathan Wallbank has joined Sparrow Shared Ownership as independent non-executive director and chair of the audit and risk assurance committee. He was finance director at Orbit Group.
