Housing association moves

Housing association moves
  • Sean Anstee (pictured above) has been appointed the new chair of Trafford Housing Trust, the Manchester-based housing association which joined L&Q Group in October 2019. Mr Anstee will replace outgoing chair Edna Robinson. He is a former leader of Trafford Council.
  • David Biggs has been appointed the next chair of B3 Living, and will begin in January, replacing Anne Shearman. He is currently managing director of Network Rail.
  • Anita Jones has been appointed chief executive at Freebridge Community Housing, having previously been director of operations and deputy chief executive at Havebury Housing.
  • Thirteen Group has appointed Jane Castor as chief financial officer and David Ripley as executive director of customer services. Ms Castor was previously finance director at Homes England, while Mr Ripley has been promoted from his role as director of repairs and maintenance.
  • Thrive Homes has appointed Karen Forbes-Jackson as corporate services director and Mark Farrar as finance director. Ms Forbes-Jackson was previously at MDG (part of Premier Medical Group), Network Housing Group and Sanctuary Group, while Mr Farrar was previously head of finance at BPHA.
  • Ceri Theobald has been appointed the new group director of strategic partnerships and growth at Futures Housing Group. He was previously head of partnerships and business development at Flagship Group.
  • Golding Homes has appointed Terry Spillard as assistant director of customers and Steve Stratford as assistant director of property. Mr Spillard was formerly regional manager for Kent at Optivo Homes, while Mr Stratford was investment manager at MHS Homes. They started their new roles on 27 July and 13 July respectively.
  • Octavia has appointed Abbi Agana as director of business excellence and innovation, and Caroline Davies as interim director of asset management. Ms Agana was previously assistant director of transformation and programme management at Golding Homes, while Ms Davies was previously director of property services at Orbit Group.

  • Bield Housing has appointed Iain Baxter as digital project lead and Diana MacLean (pictured above) as director of customer experience. Mr Baxter was previously head of innovation and change at Caledonia Housing Association and Ms MacLean was operations director at Weslo.
  • Eastlight Community Homes has made four appointments: David Hall has been named executive director (resources); David Hart has been appointed finance director; Scott Bridge has been appointed housing services director; and Charlotte Todd has been named property director. Mr Hall was previously executive director (finance and governance) at Greenfields Community Housing; Mr Bridge was previously head of repairs and maintenance at Greenfields Community Housing; Mr Hart was previously finance and resources director at Colne Housing; and Ms Todd was previously head of asset management at Colne Housing.
  • Penny Metcalf has been promoted to executive director of development at Settle, having been promoted from her previous role as development director.
  • Brigg Dean has been named repairs manager at Weaver Vale Housing Trust, having previously been repairs delivery manager (North West region) for The Guinness Partnership. He began the role on 27 July.
  • Clare Hall has been appointed the new registered operations manager for South Gloucestershire and Bristol for Brunelcare’s domiciliary home care division. She has a background in care and corporate banking.

  • Steve Douglas (pictured above), former chief executive of Altair and the Housing Corporation, has been named chief executive of homelessness charity St Mungo’s.
  • Social justice charity Nacro has appointed five new trustees: Tabitha Kassem, executive director of governance at Network Housing Group; Anne Frost, a former senior civil servant in the Department for Education and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government; Victor Olisa, former area commander with the Metropolitan Police; David Hanson, former MP for Delyn, Wales, and minister of state in the Home Office; and Katie Martin, director of external affairs at Citizens Advice.
  • Gillian Reid has been named assistant director of operations at Shelter Scotland, having previously been national services manager for the charity.
  • Grahame Howett has been appointed regional account manager at Gas Tag, having previously worked at Constructionline.
