Housing association and ALMO moves
  • Paul Redfern (pictured) was announced as director of business assurance at Gentoo Group on 12 March, having previously carried out a six-month term at the landlord as interim head of audit.
  • Anchor Hanover announced Kate Smith and Simon Glucina as executive board members on 7 March. Ms Smith joined as executive director – business services, having previously worked as group corporate services director at Southern Housing Group. Mr Glucina is executive director – transformation and joins from Ei Group (formerly Enterprise Inns), the UK’s largest pubs group.
  • Tom Casey was announced as director of development and sales at Golding Homes on 7 March. He was previously head of partnerships and joint ventures at Optivo.
  • Sue Bate was named executive director of finance at Wandle on 1 March, having previously held the role on an interim basis since July 2018.
  • Georgina Parkinson was appointed operations director at Hastoe Housing Association. She was previously head of housing management at BPHA. She will begin on 3 June.
  • Alan Thomson has been appointed director of finance and IT at Radius Housing. He started on 1 March, having previously held the position of finance director at Ballyvesey Holdings.
  • Stephen Baker has been named director of investment (homes) at Alliance Homes Group, starting on 18 March. He was previously head of development and regeneration at the same organisation.

  • Emma Midgley (pictured) has been appointed head of transformation and communications at Johnnie Johnson Housing and will start on 1 April. Previously she was marketing manager at the same organisation.
  • Simon Penaluna was named director of IT at Grand Union Housing Group on 6 March. He was previously assistant director of ICT at Peaks and Plains Housing Trust.
  • David Lansdown was appointed director of innovation and insight at CHP on 1 March. He was previously transformation manager at the same organisation.
  • Kevin Hornsby started as director of communities at Ongo on 1 March. He was previously head of tenancy sustainment at Orbit.
  • Arturo Gulla was announced as director of property services at St Leger Homes, the ALMO for Doncaster Council, on 7 March. He was previously interim head of group asset investment and delivery at Riverside Group.
  • Pauline Geldard started as people director at Sovereign on 11 March, having previously been head of HR at RHP.
  • Carol Dover began as director of resources at Two Rivers Housing on 11 March. She was previously head of finance at Connexus Housing Group.

  • Andrew Davies (pictured) was named chief executive of Kier on 19 March, having previously been set to take the chief executive role at Carillion before its collapse. He will begin on 15 April.
  • David Carmichael has joined partnership housing developer Lovell as land director for the North West of England, North Wales and Scotland. He was previously group land and partnerships director at Keepmoat.
  • Amanda Rodgers was announced as head of sales at Persimmon Homes West Midlands on 12 March. She previously worked at the same company for its South Midlands region.
  • Savills has made two appointments, with Aaron Keyte joining as associate director within its housing consultancy team in mid-March. Mr Keyte was previously a senior financial analysis manager at the Regulator of Social Housing. Stephen Anderson was promoted to director (housing and regeneration), effective 1 March. He was previously associate director (housing development and regeneration).
  • Guy Nicholson was named independent chair of the Harlow and Gilston Garden Town board. Mr Nicholson has previously served on the board of a government-backed development corporation and has been part of the London 2012 Olympics project.

  • Ilke Homes announced the appointments of Dave Sheridan (pictured) as executive chair, Mark Chilvers as operations director and David Jones as managing director of construction on 12 March. Mr Sheridan is a former chief executive of Keepmoat Homes and Engie Regeneration, Mr Chilvers was previously head of manufacturing at Hitachi Rail Europe and Mr Jones was previously a director at Legal & General Modular Homes.
  • Gordon McRae was appointed head of communications and policy at Shelter Scotland, returning to a role he left four years ago. He was previously chief executive of the Scottish Humanists Society.
  • John Acres was named the first policy director of the Land Promoters and Developer’s Federation, a representative group of land developers. He was previously president of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
