Delegates at Housing 2018 – the Chartered Institute of Housing’s annual conference and exhibition – last week visited an offsite village of homes assembled and built hours before the conference opened.
The homes were built by Ilke Homes and the Central Housing Investment Consortium. A fourth home was built inside the venue.
The components of the homes were assembled in five hours.

The project was supported by the Building Research Establishment, the Cabinet Office, the Greater London Authority, Homes England, Manchester City Council, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, the NHBC, Trowers & Hamlins, and One Public Estate.
